Macleod Enters 68th Turkey Night Grand Prix

Indianapolis, IN (November 17th, 2008) – After a successful first year in the USAC regional midget series, which included 2 wins and a 2nd place finish in driver points, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada’s Alison Macleod is looking forward to running the 68th annual Turkey Night Grand Prix at Irwindale Speedway. Alison and the Ford Racing/B.east team look to keep the momentum of the team going after 2 successful wins at the Copper World Classic with driver Bobby East. This will be Alison’s 2nd year at the Irwindale Speedway, previously Alison competed in the Ford Focus division so the hype and pressure of the event is nothing new to Alison. “It’s a huge event not only for midget racing but racing in general. The crowds very enthusiastic, there’s a lot of history with the event and I’m looking forward to competing at the National level” stated Macleod. The Turkey Night Grand Prix will be Alison’s first ever USAC National event on the fast ½ mile at Irwindale. Alison and the team are looking to use the 68th Annual Turkey Night Grand Prix as a test to prepare Alison for the upcoming 2009 National events. “I’m looking forward to the Regional schedule in 2009, and really looking forward to the National events. I think running Turkey Night is going to give me the confidence I need to better perform for the team and myself in 2009.” Be sure to stop by the Ford Racing/B.East pit area and wish Alison the best of luck.

For 2009 Alison will be running the full USAC Regional schedule along with select USAC National events. Again in 2009 Alison will be running with the Ford Racing/B.East team with support from owner Bob East and Crew Chief Evan Avart. Alison will also be competing in select Late Model events across Canada with support from Skyrider Equipment.
