New Year, New Car, New Division; New Trophies!

Indianapolis, IN (June 16th, 2008) – The 2008 United States Auto Club, USAC, season is in full swing and for Mississauga, Ontario Canada's Alison Macleod its starting to become a rookie season to remember. For 2008 Alison stepped up a division into the Regional Midget Series, 900lb open wheel machines with power plants pushing close to 400hp. Staying aligned with Ford Racing and famed car builder/tuner Bob East, Alison has been extremely busy so far in 2008. With over 20 races scheduled, and the launch of her new web-site www.alisonmacleodracing.com the rush is on and she's handling the pressure like a veteran.

So far in 2008 Alison has compiled 4 top 10 finishes including her first USAC Regional Midget Series victory this past weekend at the Grundy County Speedway in Morris Illinois. This victory, in only her 5th career midget race, has positioned Alison 2nd in points for the Regional title chase, just 8 points behind fellow competitor Travis Young. Driving the Ford Racing, Beast sponsored machine Alison held off the field for 50-laps including the 2nd place finisher and fast qualifier Brian Olson. Even though this victory tops Alison's accomplishments so far in 2008, consistency wins championships and there has been no shortage of this so far. Alison earned a 3rd place finish in her first career midget race on May 22nd at the Mt. Lawn Speedway. The next week the team traveled to Illiana Speedway where Alison would battle for the first time ever on a half mile track finishing 12th. Following a rain out in the middle of May the series traveled to the Anderson Speedway for a double header on June 11th, both features went well for Alison finishing 8th and 9th respectively.

Going forward in 2008 Alison and the Ford Racing/Beast team will travel next to Plymouth Speedway on June 18th, check back often for results and be sure to drop Alison a line at alison@alisonmacleodracing.com.
